According to Article 2 of “Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 January 2001 on summer-time arrangements” daylight-saving time shall begin on the last Sunday in March.
Experts agree that the majority of all people in Europe favour this period of summer-time between March and October. It simply means more sun, more fun and somehow a better mood. Despite that, to us it means a bit more: More work, more trucks, more skips, more waist … more of nearly everything! And we are very happy about it!
Recently, partners from Scandinavia asked if we would like to purchase snow from Finland. They obviously have got enough of this stuff there in Finland and they obviously made a joke, too. But you never know. Actually, Finland is not a part of Scandinavia, too. “No Sir, but thank you very much for your efforts!” By the way, there is a common tradition here in Germany to kid your friends and colleagues on every 1st of April. If you are ever asked to think about purchasing snow from Finland then you should check your calendar. We could certainly be of some assistance in organizing such a transport and we could of course manage the disposal of it! BUHCK has got skips and ro-ro-containers of every shape and size. But please allow us to check the calendar, too. You never know!
HAPPY EASTER to all our customers and partners!
